Speeches, seminars, workshops and pro bono coaching
The Institute's coaching services are provided on a pro bono basis except for travel expenses.
Executive Director Jerr Boschee is available for 15- to 30-minute telephone consultations and, beginning in 2014, the Institute will be offering "A Day with Jerr" in four to six different cities each year (pilot projects have already taken place in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Vancouver). Each day will be limited to a single representative from each of six social enterprises. The sessions will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the purposes will be for the participating enterprises to share their experiences and benefit from the lessons Jerr has learned during his three-plus decades in the field. There will be no formal presentations except for an opening statement by each of the six participants; each person will be given five minutes to describe his or her enterprise and its current challenges. The rest of the day will be a free-form discussion, with Jerr serving as facilitator and provocateur. Anything discussed during the six-hour session will remain confidential.
If you are interested in scheduling a telephone consultation or in sponsoring “A Day with Jerr,” please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jerr Boschee currently delivers four different types of speeches, each of which can be adapted to meet specific needs:
"Seven Strategic Blunders: Why Social Enterprises Fail and Entrepreneurial Nonprofits Stumble"
"Social Enterprise: The Promise and the Perils"
"The Global Rise of Social Enterprise"
"What Now? Creating a Signature Brand" (designed specifically for established social enterprises)
Please click "Speaking engagements " (above) for details about the content for each of the four presentations.
The Institute for Social Entrepreneurs currently offers three versions (90 minutes, three hours and six hours) of Jerr Boschee's highly acclaimed seminar entitled "Social Enterprise: The Promise and the Perils." Thousands of people have attended the seminar during the past two decades. The purpose of the seminar is to provide a non-threatening introduction to the basic principles and critical success factors associated with entrepreneurial strategies for nonprofits.
The Institute for Social Entrepreneurs currently offers three two-day workshops designed for both Board members and senior managers, all taught by Jerr Boschee. The length, structure and content of the workshops can be adjusted to fit specific needs.
The two-day workshops include:
